Sognefjord is a region of different journeys. Balestrand, Flåm and Nærøyfjord should not be treated as one stop. Decide whether the main experience should be the voyage, a village visit or a stay beside the fjord; that choice makes the rest of the itinerary clearer.
Understand the geography
Balestrand offers the setting of Kviknes Hotel for dining, meetings and accommodation. Flåm lies on Aurlandsfjord, while Nærøyfjord is a separate branch. Ask the proposal to name the actual stretches of water included: reaching Flåm does not by itself mean the itinerary sails through Nærøyfjord.
