S/S Vega
The sailing ship S/S Vega is a historic and environmentally friendly ship that combines traditional seamanship with modern comfort. Built in 1908 at Ring Andersen's shipyard in Denmark as a "Baltic Trader", she was rebuilt into a solid steel schooner in 1999 and is today one of the most robust vessels in Norway.
S/S Vega has been on several expeditions, including an impressive voyage from Oslo to the Caribbean and back in 2016–2017, where she was crewed by both experienced and new sailors.
Today, S/S Vega is offered as a flexible charter vessel for both private individuals and companies. Accommodating up to 85 people, she offers both indoor and outdoor facilities, including mahogany interiors, two decks of saloons and a spacious aft deck. The boat is ideal for events such as summer parties, company outings, weddings and team building, and can also be used for longer sailing trips along the Norwegian coast.
With its combination of historic charm, modern facilities and environmentally friendly operation, S/S Vega is a unique experience on the Oslo Fjord.
